The EdgeStar works great as a freezer. The refrigerator works OK when you get the temp set correctly. The temperature setting for the refrigerator is very sensitive, and hard to get adjusted correctly for the refrigerator to keep from freezing the items. We use it as a freezer while we are camping. Plug the unit in and is to 0 degree in less than two hours. I would recommend this item to anyone looking for a good compact freezer/frig.
