I was getting pretty tired of my food disappearing from the refrigerator my roommates and I shared, so after much research, I purchased this one for my room. I couldn't be happier with it. Plenty of self space, very quiet, and because it's an energy star appliance, the electric bill is only something like $30.00/yr. I have had this wine cooler for years and love it. The top is a bit cooler than the bottom so whites on top and reds on bottom. The middle rack is open (you can fit 7 standard bottles 4 on bottom and 3 on top of that) So if you have a Magnum or odd sized bottle it will still fit in. The ONLY reason I am replacing it was I moved and the movers destroyed my last one. Temperature is constant so no worries about wine going bad. My first Danby compact refrigerator lasted about 11 years on my screened in porch. Wind blown rain and snow never seemed to bother it. It finally gave out yesterday. I think 11 years is a great amount of time for this type product to last in the environment I placed it. It always kept my beverages at a consistent temperature no matter what shelf they were on. I just purchased a new Danby 4.4 from Costco today and expect the same great product performance as the last unit. `I decided on this refrigerator when I recently moved into a new place. I was looking for something to fit under my bar in my garage. I did not want a freezer to waste precious beer space, and this is one of the few without one. I like the adjustable shelves to accommodate bottles or cans however desired. But the metal wire is a little annoying; if you don't place the bottles on them just right, they lean or tip over. It definitely keeps things cold, in fact be careful how cold you set it. Being not too bright, I filled it with beer, set it as cold as it could go, and waited for the weekend. I had friends over for a housewarming and discovered I had a fridge full of frozen beer. Oops!
